Kingsbridge Police officers were called at 10.39am this morning following a call about a crash involving a car and a motorbike.
The caller said that a motorbike had just been lifted from a 62-year-old biker whose leg was "facing the wrong way" on the roundabout near the Fisherman’s Rest in Aveton Gifford.
The biker was airlifted to Derriford Hospital by the Devon Air Ambulance, which arrived at 11am, with a broken wrist, a compound fracture to his left ankle which will require surgery.
His injuries could be life-changing.
