Firefighters were called out on Friday to rescue an Alsatian dog after a freak accident.

A fire engine from Modbury rushed to a property at Yeo Park, Yealmpton just after 1pm to help the dog, which had got its paw trapped in the spring of a trampoline.

Using small tools firefighters were able to release the animal’s paw, and a vet was called out to deal with its injuries.
