Dart RNLI evacuated a 70 year old yachtsman from his boat moored on the Kingswear Deep Water pontoon on Monday, August 21st.

The yachtsman became unwell as he was raising sails. The Falmouth Coastguard tasked the Dart RNLI lifeboat. The crew launched in 6 minutes with their paramedic on board. The casualty was monitored and stabilised on the deep water pontoon before being brought back to the Dart Lifeboat station in the lifeboat on a roll up stretcher. His condition improved and he was advised to seek further medical advice.
