A CHILD has sadly died in hospital after a medical emergency in Courtlage Walk, Kingsbridge, on Thursday.
Police were called to assist the ambulance service on Thursday, May 5, at 7.50pm. Both the Devon Air Ambulance and the National Police Helicopter were dispatched. A two-year-old girl was airlifted from the scene but died at Derriford Hospital.
An investigation was instantly launched by the police and a file has been prepared for HM Coroner.
A spokesman for Kingsbridge Police said: ‘On behalf of all the emergency services involved, we would like to offer our heartfelt and sincere condolences to the family of this young girl involved in this tragic incident.’
