On Sunday William Hornby of the Cycle Sport South Hams club finished fourth in the Grand Prix Le Roc, near Souillac, Aquitaine, France on a 8km fairly flat circuit alongside the Dordogne river in very hot conditions.

William was riding under UFOLEP rules on his British Cycling race licence; in the UK he currently rides as a third category, but the organisers decided he should enter in their first category race, which had quite a large entry. The race was 80km long and the bunch broke up a few times, shedding a few riders before the last three laps, when it came together again and William used his phenomenal sprint to move up the places and finish in fourth position. This is the third year that William has visited the area for training and racing.
