Cornwood went to the top of the A division table as they started their season with a fine victory after last week's match was abandoned.
Horwell top scored with 37 for the hosts, narrowly ahead of Thompson with 36, as they set a total that proved far too much for Lewdown.
Hall with 4-33 and James with 3-31 did the damage for Corns in the Lewdown innings.
Tomorrow Corns welcome Budleigh Salterton to Oak Park looking for another win.
