Erme Valley Harriers have been extremely busy on the track and field scene over the past two weekends.
At the Devon County Championships held at Exeter over the bank holiday weekend, the club's athletes took an impressive haul of 23 medals.
In the U13 boys Robert Stockdale took the 100m and 200m titles with times of 13.75s and 28.66s respectively.
In the same age group there were also a silver medal for Dylan Fox in the long jump with a new personal best of 4.05m and Ben Bristow took third place in the javelin.
In the U13 girls Sammie Harris won a silver in the high jump with a clearance of 1.35m and a bronze in a very high standard 70m hurdles event, clocking 12.32s.
Anna McClement had a good weekend, taking third place in the javelin as well as reaching both the 100m and 200m finals, but her best performance came in the shot, where she set a new club record of 7.94m. The old record had stood since 1994.
In the same shot competition Mia O'Daly took third place with Sammie Harris fourth.
Mia won the discus title with a throw of 15.58m, reached the final of the 100m and finished seventh in the long jump.
In the U15 girls Emily Oakshott set a new personal best of 5.14.03 in the 1500m to take the bronze medal.
Emily just missed out on the bronze in the 800m but did manage to set another personal best of 2.34.45.
In the U15 boys age group Luke Riou won the triple jump with a new personal best of 11.26m and also took second place in the long jump with another personal best of 5.05m
In the U17 age groups Laura Puleston took the silver medal in the 300m, equalling her personal best of 42.65s, and also won a bronze medal in the 200m.
In the U20 age group Carie Robertson won the gold in the 400m hurdles, breaking her own club record with a time of 67.15s. She also took a silver in the 200m and a bronze in the 400m.
In the male events Jake Abraham won the bronze in the long jump and also managed fifth place in the 100m.
The club's only senior competitor, Louise Bristow, won an impressive haul of three golds in her veteran 35 age group. Louise won the medals in the javelin, shot, and discus.
The action continued last weekend at a very sunny Tavistock in the Devon open.
The club had a total of 24 athletes taking part and it was an opportunity for the under 10 and under 11 athletes to shine.
In the U11 girls Ruth Green took second in the 150m and third in the 75m and long jump. Lola Coxon won the shot with a throw of 4.92m and was fifth overall in the 75m.
In the U11 boys Hamish Harris had a good day with second place in the 150m and third in the 75m. Lewis Greenwood was second in the long jump with a good jump of 3.56m and took fourth in the 75m.
In the U13 girls Sammie Harris had a second place in the long jump and third in the hurdles while Mia O'Daly set a new personal best in the shot with a throw of 7.22m, also jumping 3.82 in the long jump.
In the U13 boys Robert Stockdale continued his recent success, winning both the 100m and the 150m, setting new personal bests and he also set a new best of 2.36.7s in the 800m.
Aidan Porter-Holborn won the high jump with a leap of 1.25m and also beat teammate Sam Tutty into second place in the 75 hurdles.
In the U15 boys, Nathan Brown had a much-needed return to form after injury, setting a new personal best in the mile of 5.09.3 and then running an excellent 300m best of 41 seconds dead.
Luke Riou had another impressing performance in the triple jump, setting a new best of 11.62, which ranks him in the top 10 in the UK. Jake Abraham ran the 100m in 12.3 and recorded a new long jump personal best of 5.35m.
The Harriers also had one senior running with Ewan Lake taking part in the 200m and 400m.
This coming weekend many of the club's athletes will be taking part in the Devon Schools championships at Exeter.
