The junior athletes from Erme Valley Harriers were in action at the fourth Devon Sportshall fixture held for the first time at the Plymouth Life Centre.
The state-of-the-art facilities meant that the programme ran very smoothly even though numbers were increased from all the local clubs.
Continuing her superb winter season was Sammy Harris. Sammy won all three of her events in the U11 girls' age group anj jumped a new personal best in the high jump of 1.33m, which ranks her 10th overall in the UK at the U13 level.
Sammy also won the speed bounce and two-lap hurdles.
Sammy was well supported by teammate Mia O'Daly, who won both of her events. Mia jumped 6.02m in the standing triple jump and won the soft javelin. Mia also finished second in the high jump behind Sammy.
The club had lots of U10s taking part with Olivia Travers taking two second places in the one-lap hurdles and the two-lap race. Olivia also had a third place in speed bounce. Leila Rodger won the soft javelin and finished third in the one-lap hurdles and fourth in the two laps.
New member Izzy Cortman had a good debut, with third places in the two-lap hurdles and the vertical jump. The girls team also won their obstacle relay.
In the U10 boys Louis Velasquez-Vine had another good day with victories in the vertical jump and the standing long jump. He was well supported by Sam Dyer, who finished second in the speed bounce, and Hamish Harris, who was second in the two laps and third in the chest push.
The team including Daniel Norton and Nathan Mills finished first in the obstacle relay.
In the U11 boys Sam Tutty finished second in the high jump but unfortunately injured himself so could not complete his other two events. Ben Bristow took third in the high jump and also finished sixth in the standing long jump and javelin. Morgan Lewis did well with a fourth place in his four-lap race.
Both of the U13 girls who competed for the club did well, gaining valuable points. Anna McClement ran both the two laps and the four laps and Eve Slater did the two laps, vertical jump and long jump.
The club had a total of five U13 boys who gained some valuable points. Dylan Fox won the standing triple jump and took fourth place in the speed bounce.
Aidan Porter –Holborn and William Bedford tied for second place in the high jump. The boys also won the relay with their teammates Harry Hargreaves and Nick Duncan.
The U15 age group was unfortunately not the club's strongest on the day but Luke Riou managed a second in the triple jump, third in the high jump and fifth in the long jump. In the girls Lilie Coxon was third in the speed bounce and eighth in the two laps.
Overall the team managed enough points to go into third place overall with just one fixture remaining.
The final fixture is on March 24 at Dawlish and there should be a host of medals for the club's athletes.
