KINGSBRIDGE 1st XV had no game last weekend after their rescheduled Western Counties West home league game with Honiton was again postponed as the visitors were away on tour.

This game will now be played on Saturday, April 27, and will be the final game of the season.

The first XV's other remaining WCW matches see them travel to face local rivals Ivybridge this Saturday for the always entertaining derby before welcoming Torquay at High House on April 13 and Okehampton on April 20.

Kingsbridge A XV had their annual Easter clash with the local Young Farmers on Easter Sunday, with the game ending in a very respectable 15-15 draw.

Kingsbridge colts travelled to Launceston on Good Friday to take part in the annual Cornwall sevens festival and came away as tournament runners-up for the second year in succession after losing to Truro in the final.

Sunday, April 7 sees Kingsbridge play host to the Devon RFU under 11's festival at High House, where 21 clubs from across the county will gather to find this season's Devon champions.

Kingsbridge will be holding their annual Presidents Day on Saturday, April 20, when the eleven teams of the junior section will receive their awards for the past season.

The junior presentations will be followed by a match between the A XV and a team made up of the junior coaches before the 1st XV entertain Okehampton in the WCW league at 3pm. Kingsbridge colts are also at home on that day and will entertain North Devon Barbarians colts on the Longfield pitch at 2.30pm.

Kingsbridge will be holding their annual dinner and presentations evening in the marquee at High House on Friday, May 10.

In excess of 120 tickets have already been sold for the main event of the season, so anyone interested is asked to get their names down quickly.

Tickets can be booked through Martin Newman on 07974 803735 or Sue Darke on 07855 878604.
