MAN-of-the-match Mo Shaikh clattered an unbeaten 78 to steer Brixham to a seven-wicket win at Kingsbridge.

Brixham lost wickets at 91 when Tim Robinson went lbw to Neal Peach (2-21), Tom Hopper (26) at 123 and Connor Bryan for 37 at 130 for three.

Shaikh and Gangul Ravina (39) put on 116 unbroken to clinch victory with 17 balls to spare.

Kingsbridge had been all-out for 244 when they batted, Shaikh played his part with a five-for 24 bowling return. Brad McKee (3-50) did his bit too.

Batting highlights for Kingsbridge were an opening stand of 103 between James Westlake (39) and Freddie Ford 58, followed by James Fletcher making 46. Westlake only needs 24 more runs to pass 500 this season.

Elsewhere in the C Division West, there were victories for Cornwood 2nd XI, Abbotskerswell, Plymouth 2nd XI and runaway leaders Ipplepen.
