Devon Cricket League 1st XI premier division Bovey Tracey 176-6, Cornwood 122 all out. Bovey Tracey (18 points) beat Cornwood (three) by 54 runs

Cornwood 1st XI let a dominant position slip in their game at Bovey Tracey. Fielding first on a damp track, the Cornwood bowlers made Bovey fight for every run. At one stage Bovey were 97-5, but a seventh-wicket partnership between overseas player Roberts and former Devon captain Chris Bradley allowed Bovey to reach 176-6 in the 43 overs allocated.  In reply Cornwood never really got going, losing regular wickets along the way. Only opener Chris Parker showed any resistance with a patient 46 runs. Cornwood finished on 122 runs and with that picked up only three points. Both of Cornwood's other teams playng at Oak Park fared better – the second XI picked up the full 20 points with their fifth win of the season over Barton CC. Openers Duncan Boase (85) and Will Caufield (51) got the Corns off to the best possible start, which set the momentum for the rest of the team to chip in with contributions which enabled a total of 236 to be reached.  Despite putting up a good fight, thanks to some extent from some wayward Cornwood bowling,  Barton ran out of steam with the score on 213. This win strengthened Corns' position at the top of the 2nd XI A division. Cornwood 4ths recorded their first win of the campaign beating the league leaders Lewdown by 19 runs in a close contest. Cornwood reached 156-9, rescued by the lower order. After at one stage being at 90-6, Richard Cavendish and Josh Goodliffe were the joint top scorers on 28.  George Roberts and John Whitfield were pick of the Cornwood bowlers. The win moved them four places off the bottom. There was no game for the 3rdXI , their game at Thorverton falling foul of the weather.
