Western Counties (West) Ivybridge 20, Exeter Saracens 31

IVYBRIDGE look to be safe for another season in Western Counties (West), despite losing at home on Saturday. The Bridgers remain fourth bottom, 11 points above Tiverton, who have a game in hand in the first relegation place.Rivals Kingsbridge, who are a place below Ivybridge, look in more danger after losing at home to Wellington on Saturday.A victory in Ivybridge's final four games of the season, with fellow strugglers Devonport Services first up tomorrow, will almost certainly preserve Paul Setter's men's league status for another season. Setter was again forced to turn to youth on Saturday, with teenagers George de Mendonca, at 14, outside centre Sam Kingscott and scrum-half Matt Loomes all lining up at Cross-in-Hand.Saracens made the better start, though, and led 12-6 at half-time after Adam Bradley had slotted home two penalties for the home side. The Bridgers enjoyed a far better second period, scoring two tries through left-wing Tom Kitchenham and Matt Grievson, with Bradley converting. But Sam Gooch's hat-trick of tries for the visitors ensured they went home with the victory in the bag.
