COPIES of the famous humorous magazine Punch have been donated to a Kingsbridge charity shop.
Ten of the magazines, dated between 1917 and 1919, were recently taken into Cancer Research UK in Bridge Street and are available to buy for £100 for the set.
Publishing the work of some of Britain's greatest comic writers, the humorous magazine ran from 1841 until its closure in 2002 and gained an international reputation for its witty take on the world.
Cancer Research UK aims to save lives from cancer by working in the areas the most impact can be made.
The charity focusses on research by supporting the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses across the UK to investigate all aspects of cancer.
It also works to help people cope with the effects of the disease by providing information for cancer patients and their families, health professionals and the public and campaigns to keep cancer at the top of the health agenda.
