Foundation children at Woodlands Park Primary School celebrated healthy eating by inviting parents and relatives to a fruit salad morning.
Pupils retold the story from children’s picture book Handa’s Surprise during a welly walk, and acted as the different animals in the story.
They explored a range of fruits, drawing their favourites before using their cutting skills to create colourful fruit salads, which they enjoyed with the visitors.
Woodlands Park Primary school offered a big thank you to Kim Taylor-Lewis from Tesco Lee Mill, which donated fruit, bowls and cutlery through the supermarket’s Eat Happy project.
