Barney Greenhill, of Northville Road, Kingsbridge, writes: Let's forget all about this silly nonsense over waterskiing in Salcombe estuary, which everyone knows is only conducive to a minority, and put our minds to something more beneficial to the whole community by working towards starting disability sailing, perhaps through the auspices of Salcombe Yacht Club and the Island Cruising Club. The comedian Eddie Izzard is the patron of an organisation called Join In, which is supported by BT, so perhaps even funding may be available. There must be many disabled people who see the sailing dinghies plying their way around the estuary who say to themselves: 'I wish I could do that.' Join In is run by volunteers and as that's the case I would want to be at the front of the queue to help.
