A resident of Devon Road in Salcombe has contacted us to report the mysterious appearance of an expensive cordless vacuum cleaner outside their house.

The resident spotted the Gtech machine in the street between 3.45pm and 4.45pm on Wednesday, July 12.

This particular model, with a small head and a relatively long, slim handle, of the rather snazzy vacuum cleaners starts at around £200. The resident said it was undamaged when discovered, and did not appear to have fallen off a vehicle.

After waiting a while, she took it into her front garden, where it has remained, as no one has come forward to claim it.
