Reading about the Ivybridge Primrose Festival recently brought back memories of boxes of primroses being received at our printing company from Wiggins Teape each spring.

So we travelled from Dartmouth to Ivybridge to see the Primrose Festival, but there were no primroses or indeed anything relating to the history of this event.

We were told by a smallholder that there was a Heritage Society who have artifacts and photographs, but where were they?

Perhaps, if they are hoping to continue with this event, they should approach Endsleigh’s, for at least they have primroses.
