ON Saturday, November 5, the Memorial Hall at Aveton Gifford will open its doors to ‘all sorts’ of paintings, pictures, prints, wood carvings and pottery – all for sale.
The items on display are priced by their owners, who will have cleared their attics, stripped their walls, emptied their cupboards and have brought in artwork they no longer want.
Ten per cent is then added to the price, which will be donated to the Triangle Cancer Support Centre at South Hams Hospital in Kingsbridge - an important local facility for the care and wellbeing of cancer patients.
Come and browse, it is open to bargain hungers, perhaps in search of a lost masterpiece or just a wonderful piece to grace the sitting room.
The event runs from 10am until 4pm.
