A South Hams engineer has shown he’s got what it takes when it comes to green credentials.
Benjamin Lee from Salcombe has been crowned the national winner of a UK awards scheme which recognises the most sustainable heating engineers, after beating off stiff competition from other professionals from all over the country.
The Heating Installer Awards are now in their sixth year.
They recognise the achievements and raise the credibility of plumbers and heating installers across the country who deliver excellent customer service on a daily basis.
The Most Sustainable Installer category was introduced last year for those who are doing everything they can to minimise the impact of their work on the environment.
Benjamin, who runs his own business - B LEE Plumbing & Heating - scooped the prestigious Most Sustainable Installer title beating of stiff competition and following a public vote.
The judges were particularly impressed with his commitment to providing sustainable products, processes and solutions to his customers.
Speaking of his achievement, Benjamin said: "Just being selected as a finalist was a great honour, but to win it is amazing. I’m blown away. I’m so proud to have been recognised for something that I believe so strongly about, sustainability. It doesn’t end here; I want to continue to learn and develop my skills so that I can provide the best service for my customers here in Devon."
The awards are supported by leading names from across the industry and the quality of entries this year was said to be exceptional.
