Students have been on a time travelling break – learning about Dr Who and his Time Lord adventures.

The youngsters, who attended the Superhuman Summer School, worked with a professional graphic artist, created 3D animations and visited the Dr Who Experience in Cardiff Bay as part of Dartmouth Academy's alternative curriculum.

Gemma Bolwell, the alternative curriculum education coordinator and 6th form specialist ran the week with teacher Mandy Pigott.

The summer school was set up for some of the ACE group Year 6s and 7s and was a weeklong workshop on all things superhuman.

Graphic novel artist Dan Wright was brought in to work with the students on drawing skills and 3D computer modelling.

They then headed off to Cardiff for their appointment with the Doctor.
