Our front page lead story is about a road run being staged in memory of Dartmouth marathon man Derek Rogers, who died last year.

The run is being organised by Dartmouth Amateur Athletic Club to raise money for Rowcroft Hospice.

The front page picture is of two newly restored ’transom figures’ at Sandquay. They came from the Royal Navy officer cadet training ship HMS Britannia, which saw service in the Crimean War.
