Our front page lead reports concerns at Dartmouth Town Council which could lose £6,500 paid to Kingsbridge firm KBB which has gone bust. The company was contracted to refurbish toilets at the council-owned Guildhall.

The main picture, sent in by reader Dave Cawley, is of a group of town criers who visited the town last weekend as part of the three-legged competition around the South Hams.

We also highlight two stories inside, one that Royal Horticultural Society judges have been in town; the other that businessman Philip Hayward, owner of Blueriver Cottages, a holiday lettings company with offices in Kingsbridge and Dartmouth, has been cleared of three charges of assaulting a former employee and lover.
