I feel as if I have just woken up from a long and deep sleep as the subject of Subway has reappeared.

Don’t these protesters realise that the long and convoluted planning process has already been completed? It has been approved, so where were you in the consultation process?

I suppose if you can’t see a large parking bay opposite the premises for deliveries

you can’t be expected to see ­planning applications in our local paper.

If there are so many people opposed to the development, why doesn’t the “spokesman” set up a consortium to buy the premises and set up a bistro? They could also take on the franchise at the Kings Arms to complete their portfolio. If there is over half-a-million to be made, count me in.

Put your money where your mouth is or keep quiet.
