Surfers Against Sewage and Less Plastic are hosting a South Hams beach clean in February.

All volunteers are welcome to help clean Slapton Sands in the afternoon of Saturday, February 17, to help tackle ocean plastic.

People will need to meet at 3pm at Strete Gate, the furthest end from Torcross. Parking is available but charges may be applicable.

Please BYO(bring your own) cup if you would like a hot drink afterwards. Amanda’s son, from Less Plastic is fundraising with the Scouts to attend the 24th World Scout Jamboree in North America in 2019, so he will be making hot drinks for all the volunteers and would appreciate any donations to his fund.

If anyone is interested in organising a beach clean in the South Hams, Surfers Against Sewage and Less Plastic can offer support. They can lend a SAS beach clean box, share tips and help promote the beach clean to make sure it is well attended.

Please get in touch if anyone is interested in running their own beach clean because the South Hams beaches need all the help on offer to stay plastic free.

The Facebook event can be found here.
