A CHILDREN’S tea party in Royal Avenue gardens kicked off Dartmouth Food Festival on Thursday afternoon.

Youngsters enjoyed a selection of savoury treats, ice cream and drinks from local supplies and restaurants.

Magic man Lez Ellis added to the fun with his balloon-making skills.

The festival officially starts today and continues until Sunday.
