Ben Drury, of Quarrylake Farm, Dartmouth, writes: I'm strongly in favour of the wind turbine at Downton Park Farm: they are far more productive than solar farms and this turbine is not overlooked by anyone. Also, it takes up far less land than a solar farm. As I'm a young farmer of 29 just starting out on my own, I'm always looking for land to rent. I don't believe in excellent agricultural land being taken up by solar parks, which make it very difficult for me to rent any quality land. The rental price for this land is beyond most farmers. Wind power is also far more productive than any solar farm.
