On Thursday, February 22, after shopping in Sainsbury’s in Dartmouth for my mum, I realised when I got back to her flat with the shopping that I’d left her purse in the shopping trolley, which contained personal items and a considerable amount of cash.

Not expecting miracles, I rushed back to Sainsbury’s to find that a “lovely local lady” had handed it in intact.
