Dart RNLI Lifeboat launched at 12.24pm September 2 after reports of a rib in difficulty along the coast from Dartmouth, east of Mewstone.

The B Class Atlantic lifeboat was dispatched and after a search in challenging misty conditions, found the rib just 10 metres from rocks, with engine failure and two people on board.

The crew attached a line and towed the vessel to safety in the Dart.
