A week or two late, but can I offer a suggestion? Anyone attempting to negotiate the main street of Salcombe via a car will tell you that it’s all but impossible during the holiday season.

So instead of banning cars from Fore St, might we not ban grockels instead? This would ensure a steady, free flow of traffic, and hopefully divert these people to Kingsbridge or Dartmouth instead.

Just a thought.
