The spirit of Pooh has been back in Dartmouth – thanks to six-year-old Francesca Heard.
The Dartmouth youngster was one of 40 primary school children who visited the town Winnie the Pooh community bookshop as part of World Book Day.
The children got togged out in fancy dress for the visit. Costumes included a clutch of pirates, some brides and one bear with Winnie- the-Pooh in mind.
The youngsters were all from Kingswear Primary School.
They all received £1 vouchers to mark the World Book Day event and redeemed them at the community bookshop.
It was launched following the closure of the Harbour Bookshop – started by Christopher Milne, the son of author AA Milne and the original Christopher Robin in the Pooh books.
The children arrived at the bookshop in two groups of 20 to choose their books. Most popular were Where's Wally, Roald Dahl and a book about Magic Molly the kitten.
