THE VILLAGE of South Pool will be hosting its tenth annual Nativity play on Monday.
The play was written for the village by one of South Pool’s residents and will be performed in full costume.
Various houses around the village are used in the interactive play, where the audience will follow the action through the village as it unfolds.
Local farmers provide livestock and hay bales for the nativity scene set in the local inn. And the village has clubbed together to dress each house in Christmas lights to celebrate the festive period.
The Millbrook Inn will be providing mulled wine and sausages, as well as free chestnuts and marshmallows over the fire.
The Kingsbridge Silver Band, currently celebrating their 95th anniversary, will be attending to accompany the Christmas carols - words will be provided to those attending.
The Nativity play will begin at 7pm on Monday, December 19, in the centre of the village.
