A befriending charity has been handed a cheque for £165.50 by South Brent Short Mat Bowls Club.
Club member Jill Elms presented the money to Jane Sullivan from South Brent and District Caring.
The money was raised by bowls club members during an all day competition in the village hall, which included a Sunday lunch provided by Crumbs and Cuppa.
South Brent and District Caring is a volunteer befriending service working to counter isolation and provide help with day to day tasks.
