Keith Turner, of Sherford, near Kingsbridge, writes:

As Richard Howell requested in his letter last week, I too would like Cllr David May to explain why voting records on planning decisions are not kept and published for all to see.

If I want to check how Sarah Wollaston voted on any issue the information is available online at http://www.publicwhip">www.publicwhip. org.uk and other publicly available sources.

Furthermore, if I disagree with any specific decision, I can address my concerns directly in writing, via letter or email and even face-to-face at one of her surgeries.

Fifteen councillors voted in favour of the wind turbine at Sherford and brushed aside the objections raised by parishioners and parish council with no explanation to justify their decision yet they aren't even named.

It seems that our democratically elected member of Parliament can be held to account but not our councillors.

Who are these 15 councillors, how did they justify their decision?

Perhaps they believe it's best that we don't know. Who knows?
