Our verges, one of Devon's most beautiful and important assets, are in peril.
The way our councils manage them is nothing short of vandalism: mowing them just as the wild flowers are coming into bloom, smothering them in uncollected cuttings and encouraging the growth of coarse and thuggish plants. As council tax payers, we deserve much better.
