The next cruise ship to arrive on the River Dart will bring up to 500 passengers to enjoy Regatta.

The Saga Pearl II will be spending 18 hours in Dartmouth for the start of the 174th Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta.

Arriving from the Isles of Scilly, Saga Pearl II will moor mid-river on Wednesday, August 29 and is due to depart from Dover the following afternoon.

Guests will be entertained on board by Dartmouth’s Town Crier, Les Ellis.

As well as choosing from a variety of local excursions there is plenty of time for passengers to take in the town and enjoy the opening ceremony and first day of Regatta.

The mayor, Cllr Rob Lyon and mayoress, Di Lyon are expected to meet Saga Pearl II’s captain for an exchange of plaques to commemorate the visit.
