Dartmouth young photographer is runner up in Rotary Club competition.
She was presented with her certificate and prize by Rotary President Bill Parker at the end of term assembly at the Dartmouth Academy. Tori was also the delegates’ choice at the District Assembly.
Following the successes of the Rotary Club of Dartmouth’s Young Photographer competition held last year, three candidates for the three categories were submitted to the District 1175 (Devon and Cornwall) event. They were Senior: Eryn Harding; Intermediate: Tori Cox and Junior: Tilley Raymond.
Sadly, the Junior and Senior entries were unsuccessful in their bids to be young photographer of the year, but there was success for the Intermediate Candidate Tori Cox.
The winner of the intermediate category was to attend a workshop event held in Bude with Ross Hoddinott. However, the winner was unable to attend.
Tori, being the runner up, was offered this prize and gladly accepted the opportunity to attend a workshop to further her interest in photography.
Tori also scooped two vouchers of £25 each.
Ross Hoddinott has steadily built a reputation as a leading landscape, wildlife and close-up photographer. He regularly contributes articles and images to the photography press and has published a book for photographers.
