Martin Newman, of The Sidings, Old Station Yard, Kingsbridge, writes: Congratulations to Modbury on recently having bollards installed along the edge of its pavements to prevent vehicles from parking on them. Perhaps Kingsbridge Town Council and South Hams Council could look into having the same installed on the right-hand side of Fore Street in Kingsbridge. The pavement along the majority of the street is in an unbelievably bad condition, especially in the area around Lloyds Bank and McColls/Post Office and the Kings Arms. It is a serious pedestrian accident waiting to happen. At the end of this month South West Highways is closing Fore Street at night to undertake work on the traffic humps in Fore Street – traffic safety before pedestrian safety?
