Your front-page article, Chronicle, January 20, rather ­surprised me.

As someone who has lived in Dartmouth for many years, I often want to use Dartmouth town centre. I am unable to walk far and I do not have a blue badge and so try to park in Mayors Avenue.

To those who run town ­centre shops and businesses who complain repeatedly of a lack of customers: surely more spaces in Mayors Avenue for shoppers can only be a good thing.
