We would like say a big thank you to all the rowers who so generously gave their ­winnings of around £400 from the regatta races to our grandson Harry Endicott towards a cancer charity.

His parents Rebecca and Tony were overwhelmed, but wanted you all to know how grateful they were.

Harry had a wonderful ­regatta and is now back in ­hospital in Exeter and is preparing to go to Bristol again next week for his next session of chemotherapy.

We always say that the ­rowing is the heart of regatta.
