I read with great interest your article Mountain challenge for charity, Gazette, December 30, about the fundraising climb by Sue Gulcher and team.

I also support Operation Mobilization, which, as Sue says, has more than 6,000 workers across 113 countries.

It is particularly noteworthy that she says that OM 'meets spiritual needs and addresses the earthly bonds of oppression'.

I'd like to mention one project relevant to the goal of their climb. In some countries where OM teams work, in partnership with other organisations, most of the workers are nationals, and they give very high priority to the plight of their people and are, indeed, very focused on the abolition of human trafficking.

We wish, and pray for, Sue and the team, great success.
