A power cut has halted Dartmouth.
Power went out just as shops and businesses started to open on Monday, August 28. Those impacted include the Dartmouth Chronicle Offices, council buildings and Spa.
Shortly after the power went out two fire engines arrived on Victoria Road, Dartmouth just past Spa. The crews in attendance said they were making the area safe and secure after an electrical fault.
Western Power was at the scene shortly after 11am and predicted the problem would not be fixed until mid to late afternoon.
A Western Power employee at the scene said the pavement would need to be dug up due to a burst cable at the Sawasdee Thai Takeaway.
