Your article on the outline planning application for 96 homes west of Belle Hill, Gazette, February 24, and the resulting extra traffic down Church Street, alluded to research that showed a link between traffic pollution and dementia.

This was a recent study published in The Lancet, which showed that people living 100-200 meters from a busy road were two per cent more likely to get dementia, rising to four per cent for people living 50-100 meters away from a busy road and seven per cent for those within 50 meters.

What is the percentage risk for those people living one meter away from traffic, as in some parts of Church Street?
