A special town council meeting has been organised to discuss purchase and employment details after assets were voted to be transferred from the district council.
A few weeks ago, Dartmouth town council voted to take control of district council assets after a heated discussion. The assets in discussion include Coronation Park, Royal Avenue Gardens, the Castle Estate, the verges of Townstal Road and all buildings and structures thereon.
At a meeting scheduled for Tuesday, May 1, the town council in closed committee will be discussing a variety of topics in connection with the asset transfer at the Guildhall in Dartmouth.
This will include the employment of gardeners, the open spaces’ budget, the purchase of a mower and various tools plus the employment of an additional receptionist.
However, these agenda items will not be open to the public or the press. To view the agenda please go to the town council website.
