Salcombe Town Council is asking members of the public for proposals and projects for the community’s open spaces.

This information will form the basis of the town council’s Open Spaces, Sport and Recreation Plan - which will enable district council funds to be requested for Salcombe.

The council has provided two questionnaires on their website, one general and one with financial questions.

A Salcombe Town Council spokesman said: “All residents, visitors, groups and organisations are welcome to complete the consultation forms, but please include all your details so that we know who the information has come from, otherwise the town council will not be able to use your response.

“The town council has previously sent an email to all organisations with regard to projects they may wish to organise. Some groups have responded with details of projects, but the town council needs further financial information.

“In addition it is important that the town council knows what people think of their current open spaces and recreation provision in Salcombe.”

The town council is asking organisations to takes these questionnaires to their appropriate meeting to complete with comments and opinions.

“If you have a project, whether you have advised us before or not, please also complete the financial questionnaire,” the spokesman added.

The council is asking for forms to be completed and returned by Wednesday, July 12, or if this isn’t possible, to advise the council of when they can expect to receive them.

The documents can be downloaded from the council’s website, and completed forms either emailed or posted back to Salcombe Town Council.
