A Panache concert at Holy Trinity Church in Galmpton raised around £700 for the upkeep of the church.

Panache founder and music director, Roy Hann said: “The Kingsbridge-based ladies a capella chorus, ‘Panache’, along with organist Trevor Becker, entertained an enthusiastic audience.

“The concert was organised by Lindsey Fletcher and funds will go towards renovation of the Parsonage and maintenance of Galmpton Church and sister church St Clement in Hope Cove.”

Panache are currently holding open evenings during October in attempt to encourage potential new members to experience the joy of close harmony singing.

Roy continued: “Our 35-strong chorus is about to enter its 10th anniversary year and we continue to attract new members. We are beginning to pick up new songs for our repertoire so now would be a good time to join up.”

The open evenings are taking place at their rehearsal venue in the Evangelical Church, Kingsbridge, on Mondays starting at 7.30pm. For more information contact Roy on 01548 856528.
