The Flavel has announced that from this Sunday, March 11, they will be screening old classic film favourites at 2.30pm on a Sunday afternoon each month. The raked seating will be rolled back and there will be comfortable seats and round tables at which one can relax, sip a glass of wine or a cup of tea available from the café or bar.

The first of these super Sunday matinee screenings will be ‘Kind Hearts and Coronets’ featuring Alec Guinness in multiple starring roles.

In future months, look out for other classics starring Clint Eastwood, Audrey Hepburn, Cary Grant, Jimmy Stewart, Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers.

A representative of the Flavel has said “We want to bring back the magic of cinema by providing the opportunity of seeing these wonderful old films as they were meant to be seen – on the big screen and with great sound. It’s what a Sunday afternoon was meant for and the tickets are only £5!”
