David Christensen, of The Millbank, Ifield, West Sussex, writes: By way of your paper, I must show my disappointment at both Dartmouth genealogy and 'parish of Dartmouth' websites for no response to simple information requested of some of my ancestors who lived and married in Dartmouth. Having visited last week – so pleasant – I inquired at St Saviour's Church only to be told 'all information is now held at Exeter central archives'. The basis of these sites would be to extend the knowledge from people like myself still looking to tie up the fine details and anomalies that exist. Just a reply to say the information is not here, or an archivist is not available, would have been adequate, whereupon I could have driven into Exeter on my way down first. This must become another trip.
