A primary school is to celebrate their brand new foundation unit garden with a public grand opening.

On Friday, July 6 East Allington Primary School will be holding a grand opening of their new foundation stage unit garden.

Starting at 1.30pm the afternoon will consist of a short speech, ribbon cutting, and singing from the foundation unit children followed by tea, coffee and some exciting Year 6 enterprise stalls.

The National Lottery generously funded the project by donating £10,000 along with donations adding up to £6,500 from local sponsors. The school received some much needed help with labour from local businesses to prepare and install the new flooring and play equipment.
