THE National Trust are hosting a crafty event at East Soar Outdoor Experience, where you can make wreaths, lanterns and other decorations.
Held on Sunday, December 18, materials already gathered from the farm such as willow, ivy, holly, pinecones and other materials can be turned into simple festive creations for the holiday season.
Ranger Emma Reece explained: ‘We will also have other activities on the farm for people to enjoy, such as campfire cooking and a children’s farm trail.
‘This will be a great way to escape the chaos of the shops and enjoy time with the family, learning new skills and making something personal together for your home.’
East Soar Outdoor Experience near Malborough is a great base to explore the beautiful Bolt Head and Salcombe area. This will also be the last chance this year to enjoy the Walkers Hut café, which will be open for refreshments and tasty home baked cakes throughout the event.
This free event runs from 12pm to 3pm, and all you need to bring is a clean, empty jam jar to decorate if you have one, the rest will be provided.
On the day, please park at East Soar car park and walk the track to the farm.
