Bryan Stott, of Laburnum Way, East Allington, writes:

I am writing regarding income tax and my and millions of other workers’ National Insurance payments: why can’t I, as low-income earner, opt out of, or decide to disagree with, my compulsory deductions going to the NHS? And why are British ex-service personnel sleeping rough or being imprisoned for doing their job?

I will willingly pay tax for these causes, but what I despise paying for are workshy people, the bombs hitting Syria and longer-term housing for Syrian families dispersed by the Tory Party and sugar-tax minion Sarah Wollaston.

Are there any accountants out there who can help with where my tax and NI payments go? After all, I do get up at 4am every day to earn the money to pay these taxes.
